I think everyone goes through a time in their life, or a couple, where they feel like they have no friends. No one gets in touch with you to hang out or even say hi. If you ask them to hang out, either because they actually can’t or because someone else makes a better offer. I’m going through that point now and I hate it.
Like millions of others, I waited and sat through some of MTV’s VMAs in anticipation for the first ever Hunger Games teaser trailer for the film being released in arch, 2012. Even though it was basically just a couple shots of our heroine, Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer Lawrence, running through the Hunger Games arena and shooting an arrow, I was still impressed. I thought that the Hunger Games crew did a magnificent job of turning Jennifer into Katniss and I can’t wait to see the other characters and the rest of the world of Panem.
“The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice-versa, the bad things don’t neccesarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant.”—
So today was the “aftermath day” of Hurricane Irene. She hit my town as well as a few others. There was heavy wind and rain all day yesterday and it stopped around 10 o’clock last night. Several tree limbs were knocked down and all of the power in town went out. My power just came back a few minutes ago. A huge tree limb was rubbing against the back of my house all day, threatening to fall and so was another branch in front of my house. The trunk of my mom’s car was smashed with yet another limb. But, all is well now, besides the fact that my town looks like a salad bowl.
